About Delo
In 1935, Standard Oil launched a multipurpose engine oil under the name DELO—an acronym for Diesel Engine Lubricating Oil—that the company first developed to meet the needs of Caterpillar Tractor's new high-speed diesel engines. The development of RPM DELO Special Motor Oil enabled U.S. Navy submarines to triple their cruising range during World War II, because the oil kept diesel engines cleaner and reduced wear.
Since then, with the development of innovative ISOSYN technology and unique additive formulations, Delo® remains at the forefront of engine oil performance and reliability worldwide.
